What's new for Tuesday July 27, 1999...
(Return to the July 1999 news index...)
Late Update: A complicated Star-Trek themed CCF file from Dave Swindell is now available...

Take Control software: Anyone eyeing the new Madrigal IRIQ software upgrade will be pleased to hear Harman/Kardon has just released version 1.5 for their Take Control remote. The updates are the same: faster performance, new IR codes from H/K, Proceed, Citation, Mark Levinson and Sony; the ability to control Lutron lighting-control systems, a lock-out feature, enhanced selector wheel operation, enhanced macro delay timings, enhanced navigation shortcuts and user-selectable icons for macros. Download it from their web site. A typical upgrade will take 20 minutes.

Propreitary Remotes: I've finished the other section to my feature on tips and tricks to learning IR codes. This new page concisely explains the basics of Sony VisionTouch receivers, high frequency IR codes, RF satellite control and wireless X-10 control, plus what can -- or can't -- be done to control them via regular regular universal remotes.

CCFs: A new CCF from Aaron Guenther and a major update from Brian Porter.
