Weemote 2: the sequel!
When we first took a look at the Weemote kids' remote control back in November, we figured that it would be the perfect decoy from the expensive learning models that we normally cover... you know, the ones that really don't like accidental drops or sticky fingers. While it certainly filled both that niche and its designed one with aplomb, higher-end customers noted a number of improvements that they'd like to see added to the little blue clicker.
The manufacturer listened! Fobis Technologies has massaged the Weemote into a new model with greater capabilities and called it the Weemote 2. You'll find more channel macros, additional customization options and a greater number of supported devices. Since the Weemote 2 is functionally similar to its predecessor, you'll need to prime yourself with our original Weemote coverage before continuing on to the Weemote 2's capsule review. Enjoy!
Pronto/RC5000 CCF archive update...
This week I began to wonder exactly why it feels like so much time has been spent managing the Pronto/RC5000 file area - and then I checked. Since the beginning of the year we've had over 110 complete system file uploads and an I-don't-even-want-to-know number of model configurations, bringing the total up to over 390 systems and 2850 components. That's absolutely amazing - keep sending those files in!
