Home Theater MX-500 release & review.
It's here! Universal Remote Control Inc.'s Home Theater Master MX-500 remote control is now finally shipping to stores. To coincide with its release, Remote Central's complete review of this cool hard buttoned product is now online. As usual, the review is positively brimming with photographs and details - if you want to know exactly how it works, this is where to look. The MX-500 is a 10-device all-buttoned remote control that features a large LCD screen on which 10 adjacent buttons are given customizable 5-character dot matrix labels. The remote includes volume/channel, transport and keypad hard buttons, along with a 5-way menu joystick. With two LCD pages per component, the MX-500 can hold up to 53 commands for each device!

You also get full learning capabilities on every single button, a built-in preprogrammed code database, great EL backlighting on both the LCD and hard buttons, 15 system macros with 20 steps each, 50 favorite channel macros that reside in their own special section and, of course, a great ergonomic design. It even maged to produce some surprising results on our Menacing Thick Fluffy Blanket IR strength test. Detailed specifications for the MX-500 have been entered into our Clicker Picker, plus updated profiles are available in our IR Emitter Comparison. Read all about this new remote in our complete review and be sure to visit the message forum to chat with others.
