Just got the sofa baton and while its ok I am wondering how to program the shortcut keys on the fire stick (eg: Hulu, Prime.....) to the sofa baton. I realize the fire stick only uses BT but the SB obviously does BT as well but can't seem to even manually program the shortcuts on it from the original remote. If I can't get this to work then its pretty much useless to me.

Would the SB X1 be able to do this?

A learning remote can only be taught with IR remote, it can't learn bluetooth or any type of RF remote.

You can buy a device that allows fire stick to accept IR commands, xbox 360 IR commands. Its made by Inteset:

Perhaps if you were to get UEI made remote with xbox 360 code, you could search advanced codes (EFC's) for these channel commands? Then teach them to your sofabaton?
