I have an older HP service monitor that uses an IR remote. The one I have works, but it uses a weird battery that is VERY expensive from HP.
Is there a simple learning remote that I can use?

You can get a learning remote absolutely anywhere (gas station, grocery store, etc.). But this is the cheapest I've run across ($2.50 shipped) and is an excellent learner. [Link: ebay.com]
