We had a power outage and now my comcast remote wont turn anything on. Was able to find a tv code and got that working, but I can't find a cable box one. I have the silver comcast remote with the red okay button, and the Motorola DCT700/US box. I have tried just about everything that I could find on the internet, but nothing has worked so far. Can another offer any help?

The setup code is 01376. You may need to shut off cable setup code lock using the 982 command. BTW, it isn't clear how a power outage can affect the signals or setup codes in your battery powered remote.

Sadly, 01376 doesn't work for me, even with 982 code. As for power outage, everything worked fine before. This happened one other time, and I wish I had wrote things down the last time. However, there is a possibility that the cable box died some how. Wish they had put a power button on the box itself.
