I don't have cable/satellite just plain ol broadcast tv. I have a 26MD350B Magnavox TV. The remote is wearing out. I used to have a tv, same brand I think but can't remember model, that had button on remote that said SURF. Instead of just switching between just two channels I could put in 3 or 4. Think 4 was the limit. Whatever. It was really cool. Don't know if this was feature of tv or remote but if it's remote is there one out there that does this?

Look for a feature/button called 'Favorites' on the replacement remote. That usually will give you the capability to program a list of channels that you can cycle through quickly. The function may also be known by other names.

I took a look at a number of less than $20 remotes and didn't see one with a favorite button. Some of the older One-For-All remotes had this function.

You may have to do some searching to find one.

I agree with you.
