I was happy with Sony RM-VL600. Some buttons stopped working so I bought RM-VLZ620. I found out that they changed how macro function worked. If I have a device selection as a last button in the macro sequence, it does not leave the remote in that device mode (RM-VLZ600 did that). It goes back to the device it was on before the macro ran. Then I bought URC R6 and it has the same problem. Is there any remote that can do this and costs less than $30?
I need to use only these 2 macros-
TV, power-on, Input1, CBL
and
TV, power-on, Input4, DVD

The remote should switch to CBL or DVD modes at the end of these macros so that it's ready to control that device.

Post #21 and 23 in this thread may help with the Sony.  Looks like you need to use a long button press with a mcaro defined on a device select button.

Or, a RCA RCRP05B will learn and have the macro behavior you want. it can probably store up to 30 to 50 learned buttons.  But you can also manually assign new functions to button, so that learning generally isn't necessary.
