I wanted to post this to ensure that everyone understands that there are two types of RS232 codes used on Samsung, depending on your model.

For the ME Series displays, they use RS232C codes [Link: support.justaddpower.com]

For other Samsung models, they use Ex-Link codes

The port on the back of the Samsung is the same DB9 Female to 3.5mm Serial Cable.

At least on my ME Series displays, the port is labeled "RS232C" on the back of the TV.

Here is a document that I found which has the RS232C (Multiple Display Control Protocol) codes:

I like this as it appears you can query the state of various things, including if the TV is on or not. Looks much more robust than the Ex-Link stuff.

If you have a GC-100 or have the RS232 connected to your computer, you can use this to test the codes:
