Hi guys - does anyone know if the 2014 and 2015 models support RS232 control? I have a JU650 and it doesn't seem to respond.

What is the formula you used for the checksum. I have been trying to do this for a different product and haven't been able to figure it out. Your file is great but i cant look at the calculation.

Has anyone tried to use these with Crestron?

Is there a delimiter and is \x08\x22\x00\x00.... ect the correct way to use these codes?

Thanks in advance for you help.

You could just use the UN40D8000 module included in the database. It has every code you could possibly need.

I created an excel document to generate all the RS232 codes that I could find.

This includes all the discrete commands as well as the hard to find numeric digits, smart hub, netflix, and many more.

You can use the document to create your own codes too. (direct channel, volume, etc)

The document will automatically generate the serial string with the checksum included.  It took me several hours today to find and test these codes, i hope you guys can make use of this.

Have you been able to use the code you mention for the number keys?

Number keys don't see to be sending any data on trace for me.

Hello,

I need your help. My TV Samsung UE376000 is connected to home control system AMX via exlink RS232 intervace.

I got working on/off, page up/down hdmi1-4 control comands, but ch. direct numbers are not working.

At dounloaded file from this site, I found only:
Ch.Direct 0x04 -

I also tried commands strings from other source, which didn't work:
Digit 1 08 22 0d 00 00 04 C5
Digit 2 08 22 0d 00 00 05 C4
Digit 3 08 22 0d 00 00 06 C3
Digit 4 08 22 0d 00 00 08 C1
Digit 5 08 22 0d 00 00 09 C0
Digit 6 08 22 0d 00 00 0A BF
Digit 7 08 22 0d 00 00 0C BD
Digit 8 08 22 0d 00 00 0D BC
Digit 9 08 22 0d 00 00 0E BB
Digit 0 08 22 0d 00 00 11 B8

Could you advice me the the full comand strings for channel direct selection, if those exists?

It is possible that not all codes work with every model.

If you look towards the top of the document(Row 11), there is a command for Channel 45:  08 22 04 00 00 2d A5

If you change the 6th byte (2d) to a different number (in hex) the document will update the checksum and give you the new string.

For example

Channel 50:   08 22 04 00 00 32 A0
Channel 80:   08 22 04 00 00 50 82

Duct Tape,

It works fine, thanks for your help! ;)

Just one question remains - by any chance I can get the TV power or input status updates back to controller?
I saw the similar question on page 2, but seems to me no solution at that time.

Thanks,
Dima

Regarding your first question that I missed:  The TV doesn't give any information back via ExLink.  It only gives a confirmation of a received command.

For your 2nd question:   Those appear to be the proper codes.  It could be that because your TV is a European model, it doesn't work the same as the ones here in the U.S.
