They have 1000 IBM home automation kits starting at $12.00. They have the same hardware as the X-10 home automation kit( not firecracker). BTW, does anyone know if the IBM stuff works with X-10. I think it does because X-10.com sells them side by side with their own stuff.

Good tip. Egghead has been having regular surplus auctions of varying amounts of the IBM kit. I just got one for $13 + 6.95 shipping TODAY. Another 300 are available now. Questions: Is the IBM software the same as Activehome? Will Activehome software downloadable from x-10.com work with the IBM components?
