Hi,

Do X10 devices come in several brands? I've seen IBM, RCA, and others. Does it matter of which one I get? Can I mix and match meaning IBM Starter Kit and other X10 devices from RCA?

I'm just thinking of controlling several light switches through automation. That's what I wanted to do for now. The IBM starter kit looks promising because I can use my computer to set things up.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Simon

If it says "X-10" it's compatible. I've got Stanley, Radio Shack and RCA parts currently! :-)

Thanks Daniel.

I've just ordered the FireCracker Kit from x10. How long will it take to get it in? I live in Canada so I hope it won't take too long.

Simon
