We sell this product and you can find out more about it on our web site at: [Link: ourworld.compuserve.com]

I use this remote in other rooms of my home, while I use a Pronto in my home home theater room. The remote is great for what it costs. It will control X-10 through RF and A/V equipment via IR. The RF X-10 control is nice because it does not require line-of-sight with the RF transceiver. The built-in IR code library is limited to TV's, VCRS, Cable boxes, DSS/Satellite, and CD players. All other IR codes must be learned. You can learn IR codes for up to 3 pieces of equipment.

A great secondary remote with RF X-10 control.

Last week I purchased the 8 in 1... not real happy with it. It seems to have a VERY limited learning capability. I used the pre-programmed setup for my TV, VCR & cable box and then only wanted to "learn" my Sony Receiver and CD Player. Wouldn't work.

Although the CD player is listed as one of the codes, it didn't work on any of them and when I tried to learn those functions it wouldn't work.

I've e-mailed X10 to see if possibly I've gotten a bad unit, but they've not replied yet. If I don't hear something that could change it I will return it this week.

Years ago I purchased a learning remote from a company called BSR. It was a LSR-1 model... this one was great and it is impossible to fill the memory. I'm still looking for it.

I just got the 8 in 1 learnign remote last week. At first, I didn't like it at all. I couldn't get it to learn any functions. However, by searching for the code (as in the manual) I was able to find a code for my pioneer receiver which did not have a code listed in the book. It took some finite positioning, but I was also able to get it to learn the extra buttons for my TV and VCR.
