I have an X10 dimmer switch controlling lights in my theater room. I can use my pronto and IR543 to dim and brighten the lights.

What I cannot do is cause them to go to a preset brightness level. I have software on my PC (ActiveHome) that can do this.

Is there any way that I can accomplish this with the Pronto/IR543?

Thanks,
Mark

Yes. You can use a Pronto and an IR543 to turn lights on to a predetermined brightness level, if you use PCS brand switches or PCS brand lamp modules. The PCS products are programmed to remember different brightnes levels and they can be "triggered" to go to those levels with one X-10 command that the Pronto can provide. We are an authorized PCS dealer and installer and have all the programming information necessary to accomplish this. We offer PCS switches in 600 and 1000 watt load capacities, and lamp modules with a 800 watt load capacity.

Robert,
I have a couple of PCS SS1L/S SceneMaster Version 2.0 dimmer control modules and the IR543 that I got from you a short while ago. (By the way, thanks for all your help -- they work great!)

I am interested in learning how to operate preset dim positions. I tried some things that didn't work. Would you mind instructing me on how to do this? I greatly appreciate it.

Glad you like the switches. I will be sending you an e-mail shortly with some instructions.
