No, I do not believe so. When you purchase a CM15A through X-10, they send you a registration number and a link to download the ActiveHome Pro software. In order to login, you will need the registration number and the email associated with that number/device.

sorry for the delay... just seen this. NOT TRUE. go to the Marmitek website and you can download ActiveHome Pro for free. Only works with CM15 though (i.e no CM11 serial support).

I just installed Windows 7. Active Home Pro doesn't work with it. Is there any other software that will work with the CM15A?

I just installed Active Home Pro on my Windows7 PC without any problems.  What problems are your having?

I called X10 and received a link to downloaded the program again, after digging up the original order and finding the order number.
The program just doesn't control the modules anymore. I don't even have the toggles on the modules in the program software to turn on and off.

Any ideas would be great!

Oops, my bad. I assumed after installing the software and loading my previous setup, all would be good. I needed to redo each module in the program to what it actually is, lamp, appliance and such.
We'll see how it goes after 24 hours.

After about 20 years, I'm afraid my CP-290 system running Bruce Christensen's XA - X10 Command Interpreter version 01.06 has failed. For the last year, it's been running on a Windows 7 PC. I had to install DOSBox v0.74 to run the software under Windows 7 and use at USB to serial port adapter to hook up the CP-290.

I'd like to replace the CP-290 with an ActiveHome Pro CM15A. Is there any software that will let load a command file to the CM15Ain a way similar to the way Bruce Christensen's XA lets me load the CP-290?
