What equiptment should i get if i want to turn on/off my florescent light with a sony av-2100 remote. I don't want anything that requires wiring to i am looking for a plug and play. Thanks

I'm trying to avoid wall switches since i live in an apartment. Is they any plug switches? Thanks.

All you need is an IR-543 and an appliance module... ...as long as the light doesn't have the kind of switch that needs to be held for a couple of seconds. Larry www.fineelectricco.com

You'll also need another remote, like the RS 15-2103 for the IR commands to teach the av2100, which doesn't have x10 codes.
