Yes, and again, you need only one IR543 for each location the 3000 is to be used in. The modules themselves can be all over the house.

Yes, if you want to carry the 3000 up and down and use it in both places; otherwise you could carry the 3000 and 543 around together as a set.

Hello everyone,

I have read the posts so far, but want to get this right the first time so I will ask.

I have a pronto TSU3000 and want to control my living room overhead lights. From what I have read, I need to by an X-10 IR543 Commander and the appropriate wall switches. Is this correct? Can I download the IR codes for the IR543 or do I need to get a remote to program those as well?

Thanks in advance, as I want to know the whole answer before I dive into this!

You are correct about the switches. Also, you can download the IR codes on the remotecentral website. You'll be good to go.

Your LM465 is an illegal alien hired for one
job and that is to control your lamp.

Since the LM465 is UL listed, does that not make it legal instead of illegal?
