I would like to remove, disable diming from a wall switch.So the switch can be used on fluorescent lighting.

Sorry, you'll need to buy a new switch. It's different technology.

You could use a relay on it but I would get a new switch that's make for that type of lighting! If you wanted to use a relay, you would need a 120 volt relay with a 5 amp load rating. The 5 amp rating would be good for 500 watts or so. The coil would need to be rated at 120 volts (not 12 like some are). You could pick up one at Radio Shack for around $7.00 They are about 1" x 1" x 1 1/2".
