Hi,

I was just wondering has anyone got one of these? Is it really that flat? I want to place one of these remotes right beside the wall switch, then I'm going to get a double decorator plate to cover both of them so it looks like just one piece.

Thanks

Simon

They are really that thin and work like a wireless transmitter switch. They are only transmitters though, you will still need to have an X-10 switch to control a light. The Slimline switch will also require a RF receiver! This is a very good addition to any system that is using macros. This switch could be mounted at the enterence of the home and used to trigger scenes like "Were home" and Were leaving". I don't think you will be able to mount it into a regular wall plate since the unit is one piece. You may have to rethink that plan.

Doh!!! It was only one piece. Well, I guess it wouldn't be so bad to have 2 separate switches on the same wall. Just a little bit weird but...

I ordered some stuff from X10 Canada, and the guy will give me one of these Transmitters for free once he has stock. He told me the one that I'm getting has two lights (RED & GREEN LEDs). I wonder what the green led is for?

Green means you pressed the left or "ON" side of the button and red means you pushed the right or "OFF" side of the switch. This happens on any button pressed to confirm the button press.
