Marcell... X10 is a standard of communication using electrical lines in the home. X10 devices such as lamp modules can receive signals through the power outlet they are plugged into to control ON/OFF and DIMMING of lamps. There are X10 transceivers which can RECEIVE commands from Radio transmitters or Infra red transmitters to send the X-10 control signals thru the power line to the Lamp or other type of receivers. Besides controlling my Home theater system, I can also control all the lights in my theater room with my Pronto. There is much more you can do using X-10 devices. I suggest looking at www.x10.com or www.smarthome.com.
