Hi,

I have the x10 ActiveHome package and so far I have some macros will execute at a certain time. However, I don't come home everyday at the same time so I'd like to execute "COMING IN" macro only when I enter the house. Currently the kit came with a key-chain remote, is there something I can do there?

I know I can use the same # for the devices I want to operate at the same time, but there are some devices I only want them to activate as soon as I come home and maybe last for about 10 mins or so.

Thanks

Simon

Macros can also be activated via your keychain or a PalmPad. This is assuming your macro is programmed under the "main" housecode as designated by the transceiver.

For example, as you come up your driveway, you can activate the macro A9 which turns on two lamps (A10,A11) for 10 minutes and your stereo (A12) for 30 minutes.

A macro programmed under a non-"main" housecode (e.g. macro E1 turns on A1, A2, A3), can only be activated by your computer (e.g. pre-programmed to turn on at 5 pm daily).

By the way, I've noticed the PalmPad has a better range from outside the house than the keychain remotes. Anyone experience this too? I personally think the 100 feet range is bogus. It's more like 50 feet.

Hi Roland,

Thanks for your reply. I'll try it tonight and let you know. My RF receiver is extremely weak, neither the keychain nor the 8 in 1 remote works over 10 feet away from the RF receiver.

However, the IR543 works fine either with the hard buttons or through Pronto.

Thanks again.

Simon
