Hi,
Need some help. Just put in new Visio tv today like many times before. Some strange reason on RTI program when I have to go back a page to get back to the tv I’m running the tv cuts off. I have everything ticked off as it should be. This new tv has same codes that was in place from last Visio tv. So I went with the old codes. The only thing I tried was captured the on / off codes from new remote and put those in place. Still same issue.

If anyone would like to give me a call and help me out with this minor issue I would be grateful.

Likely there is a "Power" command that is issued as you load the TV page. Learning this code from the native remote will result in a "Toggle." Each time that code is issued the TV will flip from ON to OFF or OFF to ON. You need to use "Discrete" "ON" and "OFF" codes.

I don't use Visio, but I assume that there are Discrete power commands in the RTI IR code database. Most TV's will ignore an "ON" command if they are already ON, however, some will pop something on screen for every power command.

You need a global "Is-ON" flag that tracks the TV power status. Then you need to check and manage the flag as you enter and leave each screen. Unfortunately, if the user flips the TV power using another remote, your "Is-ON" flag is out of sync with the TV.
