i have tried but it does not seem to work. how do I set up the macro to run on the T2x and not the XP6

Right click on the desired button on the T2x, choose edit properties, go to the output tab, select the standalone option and apply the settings.
Right click on the same button, choose edit macro, drag all jumps, delays and commands into the macro and save.
Now all the commands will be output from the remote.
