In another forum, a problem is being worked on where one theory is that the IR frequency is a problem. However, I cannot find a single UVerse, U-Verse, or AT&T product in the RTI database so I can open it up and get the frequency.

Do these products masquerade under some other brand name? Anyone know what frequency they're modulated at?

Thanks.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Hi Ernie, hope all is well. These guys pose as "IPN" or Cisco boxes. URC has them in their database as Cisco and AT&T/U-verse, but I do see the IPN in the megalist and have used them before. (mostly for URC).

Hope this helps. Let me know if it's a VIP model and I will try and confirm/narrow it down some more. But the IPN4330 (I think that is what the name is) should work.

Heads up when dealing with u- verse stuff let client know your not responsible for u verse working correctly . I my area u verse doesn't work correctly some houses and client always call me saying system is not working . Now I tell clients up front . If the u verse box stops working its a paid service call .

There are no RTI code sets for manufacturer VIP. Do you mean that VIP is a manufacturer, or that I'd find model numbers VIP something under Cisco? I ask because there are no Cisco VIP models.

My latest megalist is 18 and IPN isn't in it. ? ? ?

In the Master List, look up Motorola, it's under there. AT&T VIP1216 is the model. Don't ask me why a search for AT&T won't bring it up.

Ernie, The secret to programming an RTI like a T2c with Uverse is to use toggle IR codes. I just setup my T2c and having great success using the codes at [Link: pastebin.com] which someone else posted. Delete any commands on your number keys and the OK key and replace them with a macro with a toggle command and then 1A first and then 1B for that toggle. Do the same for the other number keys and also the OK key. Most other commands learned from the Uverse remote seem to work on their own so far although I haven't tested everything yet. However, if a key does not work correctly then see if the hex codes list has that key listed and follow the same procedure for doing the macro on the other keys. It works!!
