Anyone know the command to get the zone name to show up on the remote screen? The driver command line 1 and 2 just shows "ready" or "not ready". Is there a way to have it show what zone is faulted or open? For example, if the entry door is open have the display say "entry open" rather than "not ready"? The zones are named in the securty system and display properly on the security keypad.

Also, how would you bypass zones off the remote?

the lcd text variable exactly emulates the DSC keypad. i believe if you program the zone names to the panel (not the DSC keypad), they will display on the RTI system.

to bypass a zone, do it just as you would on the DSC keypad.

Thanks- makes sense. I had hoped the info would extend from the DSC panel, but maybe not.

rather than "not ready"?

Is it saying "not ready" or "secure system before arming"? As long as the 1832 has been programmed for the labels and broadcast within the keypads, as soon as you power up the xp8 or if you disconnect the rs232 for 10-15 seconds, the xp8 will receive the descriptions. Unfortunatly the 1832 does not automatically display open zones without user interaction. If you program the arrow keys on your touchscreen, when it says "secure system", if you press the right arrow it will scroll through open zones. The other option is to have a page with all zones listed and a graphic variable to show normal(green jpeg dot and xp8 dsc driver-zone xx closed) or reversed(red jpeg dot and xp8 dsc driver-zone xx open).

I can send you a sample if you want of a system file.
