Thank you all so much for your time and information. I will set up an appointment with my dealer to discuss his current model. It is a T4. The new one sounds great, but at this time we really don't need the intercom feature. But, I was wondering, when you mention the cost of the unit, is that $1,800.00 dollars (US)?
Again, thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to answer my questions.

Yes, the ESTIMATED price is in US dollars. Alot can happen between when they announce a product and when it actually starts shipping.

Hmm...that's interesting. The T4 I was looking at, the quote was much higher.
The picture of the ST-7 looks great, if I was to get the accessories for the T-4 one would think it would work with the ST-7, but with my limited knowledge of the system, I will need to ask you in your vast knowledge, your thoughts.

Thank you anyhomeneeds, you've been wonderful and patient with my questions.

The T4 is retailing at $2500. The ST-7 looks great, however, it won't even be mentioned to any of my clients untill I have one in my hand.
As with any manufactureer, they always want to show new items at the trade shows to keep interest in the company. That doesn't mean that any of the product will be out by the estimated release dates. One of the best remote processors ever made, their XP-8 was over a year late in being released. Other products just get canceled, RTI's video and audio matrix switchers and Niles' ZR-Pro, to name a few.
They are projecting that the ST-7 will come out at $1800, but there are alot of things that can change that easily. It may very well come in and retail at $2500, just like the T4.
The ST-7 will be reverse compatible with most all of the current processors, just a matter of getting a Zigbee antenna if you are using a 433 one.

Look at how the ZRP-5, RK3V, and PCM-8 are doing. All these things were said to be available in 09'.

Apparantly RTI will be introducing a "new remote brand" at CES. Might be interesting.

RTI has stated in the past that they don't do CES. Daniel, do you know something we don't?
