How well does the RF feature work? I would like to walk out on my patio by the pool and control my whole house audio system.

Phil, does your pool have discrete codes? :-)

Actually my pool is controlled by a Jandy Aqualink controller and it would probably be possible to control by remote control. (Thanks DJ I hadn't thought of that).

I couldn't say for certain how well the RF works but according to the RTI websire, there are 10 assignable RF addresses. Presumably this can be for switching "channels" as on a cordless phone or (and more exciting) it could be for the ability to add up to 10 remotes in one house controlling the same equipment much like a Crestron system.

Actually the addresses are for IRF-6 modules. You can have up to 10 of them in a house -- meaning 60 zones. I suppose you could also use multiple addresses if your neighbor has the same system and it interferes with yours. The address is configured in the software and by a small switch on the back of the IRF-6.

Oh, and multiple IRF-6's can be on the same address (though I don't know why you'd want to). So, I'm sure multiple remotes could control a network of IRF-6's, but I wouldn't think at the same time. The RF frequency for the remote is not adjustable, just the IRF-6 ID Code.
