I have a Marantz RC 5000, but it`s not working with a Sony AV-Amplifier TA-VE800G. The sony unit is controlled by a joystick controller RM-VR1.
Can anybody help me?

Uh oh - a "G" series receiver. That means it's VisionTouch - and without some serious internal modifications, there's no way to get ANY universal remote to work with it. There's no exceptions. Your only alternatives are to live with two remotes, or buy a new receiver. :-(
