Sony makes a 36" and 50" LCD Monitor that kicks big time the prices are fairly resonable also.... They are very thin too....

If it's truly BIG screen you want, perhaps you should consider a video projector from Proxima, InFocus, NEC, or another such vendor.
To replicate the HDTV resolution, you'll need to look for XGA specs, which are equivalent to 1024x768. Something like the InFocus LP750 should set you back in the area of about $5500.
