Client has an a/v cabinet that is too shallow for most receivers, and the smallest depth I could find on a 5.1 receiver is just over 12", which won't work because of the extra space needed for wires.

The best I found is the Yamaha RX-V373 - 12-3/8” ($300).

Any other ideas??

Thanks!

Not that this helps... but who builds A/V cabinets with a 12" interior? Heck, the Ikea book shelves I own have an 11" interior!

I don't think a 5.1 recever 12" or under exists right now. The only one I've ever seen is the Sony STR-SL7 (long obsolete), the main body of which is 10.5", plus 0.5" for the volume knob, and a bit more for the jacks out back.

I still use one because it has analog 5.1 inputs, but the screen burnt out on it a while back so it's pretty much impossible to change any settings.

Onkyo has a couple at 12.5". Maybe you can pop the volume knob off.

Failing that, you might look at "home theater systems". Some of those are pretty small.

Sherwood R-904N meets your 12" depth spec.

I cannot speak for the quality, I just providing a unit within your parameters.

Hope it helps.

It does fit the needs, too bad it's been discontinued for a couple of years now.

Great if you are an end user, not a good business decision for a custom integrator.

Easy there killer...

I don't care for the brand either, I was just giving an option that was still on the market that met the needs.

I wasn't referring to Sherwood, I was referring to the fact that selling a long discontinued product bought off the net was a bad idea. I like Sherwood, have used their stuff many times and never had any problems with them. However, I buy them from my distributor new, not from some e-tailor blowing them out.
