Hello,
I am having problems viewing video. My TV's video input is connect via component wires from the output of a Integra/Onkyo DTR-7.8 receiver. I plugged an HDMI source (my laptop HDMI output, camcorder HDMI output, etc.) into HDMI 1 input of the receiver. I assigned Aux 2 to the HDMI Input "In 1". When I select Aux 2, I am able to hear the audio of the video I am playing. However, I cannot see the video. Why? Can the receiver downconvert an HDMI input into a component output?
Please help.
Thank you.

Nope.
If you want to use HDMI for your sources, you have to use HDMI out to your TV. If you don't have an HDMI port on your TV, then you'll need to use Component Video cables for your sources.
