Just aquired a DENON AVR-4311 and no matter what I try, cannot get to display the #@#%! upgrade ID...

Why do they make it so complicated and dificult for their customers? Have already followed basic published instructions (use the remote control, etc) and the receiver display does not get to show it!

Can any body tell me how to get it? Can't even register the equipment w/o it!

Thanks for help

Yes, yoour best bet is to have an Authorized Denon Dealer do the upgrade. If they are not authorized, meaning they bought it sideways, then you may be out of luck.

Try the AVS forums. They have discussion areas devoted specifically to Denon receivers, with some very well-infromed denizens. In fact, I think one of them works for Denon.
