My Rotel RSX-1055 will not fully power up. When I turn it on the red power light comes on, I hear a click, but the display never comes on and I get no audio or video. The two fuses inside appear to be fine. The only reset procedure I can find is to select FACTORY DEFAULT in the setup menu. Without the unit powering up, i can't do that. Does anyone know of a hard reset procedure upon power up? Any suggestions on what may be the problem?

Thanks,
Mark

It's time to look up Rotel on the internet or look up one of their service stations. I consulted the manual and sure enough, that's the only procedure they offer. They sure didn't expect your problem!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I had the same problem recently with my RSX-1055. It would click into "protection" about 2 seconds after turning on via remote or front button. I may have shorted a surround speaker output after rearranging equipment. Fixed now but I haven't picked it up yet - I believe he replaced output power transistors, about $130CDN repair.
