I'm looking to purchase about 40 speakers for the exterior of an ocean going yacht.

There are Sonance Extreme XTR installed at he moment. They lasted about 5 years but they're all cracked and rusted now.

The nice thing about sonance is the grills. They're elegant and have no logos.

All the stuff I see out there looks like it belongs in a Metallica video or Pimp My Ride episode.

I've check Polyplanar, Bose, B&W and Sonance again... but I can't find anything suitable.

Got any brands you'd be so kind to recommend?

Thanks!

Thanks!

I had a look but they didn't have anything I can use. It seems that most outdoor speaker has an enclosure.

I'm trying to mount these into the ceilings and walls.

I can't believe how hard it is to purchase Sonance equipment.. I don't really want to go with their stuff but they seem to have the market cornered.

Glomex
Clairon
Alpine
Aber
Greensound
Fusion

These are just a few more brands that don't have what I'm looking for.

Still hunting...

Hi,
I Think the boat is located in France.
Have you tried to contact Pilote Films ?
They have Sonance LS in stock.

jl audio makes great marine speakers that last, but they may be too gaudy looking for you.   we typically stick with sonance for our boats when it they need to blend in.

FPmunier,

Yep. I wrote an email to Sonance telling them how hard it was to buy from their dealers... and then ALL the dealers contacted me!

Pilote was one of them.
