Hi all I have the Yahmaha RX-V992
  and the  Charter OCAP–4 (C4000 & S4000) remote
The remote takes 5 Digit codes and I have tryed to use
10030 and 10145 but thay do not work. I also did

1. Press AUX once
2. Press setup untill AUX blinks twice
3. Put in 991 and AUX blinks twice
4. press 3 for adio
5. press ch+ repitly untill the device trurns off

Was not able to finde the right code.  Can any one help.  I have looked at a lots of other Posts on this site and so fare none of them talk about 5 digit codes just 3 and 4 didgit codes.

When I whent to my local Charter Cable office to get a replacement remote It came with the user gide for the wrong remote (UR4U–MDVR–CHD2) I have OCAP–4 (C4000 & S4000).  When I went back to get the right user gide the person working for Charter told me that this user gide is the right one and will work for it but I will not be able to test it because she was not infrunt of my AV equipment.

What a bunch of BS

The Yamaha codes for Audio equipment are 30176 and 31176. Have you tried those?

Any help would be Grate

You can probably program buttons on the remote to do the functions you need.

Test any of the below codes by (make sure the remote is set to the Yamaha devic mode)
1) Tapping setup (don't hold it)
2) Entering one of the below 5 digit numbers. That should cause the associated action at the receiver.

You can assign these numbers semi-permanently to buttons by
1) Press Setup until 2 blinks
2) Enter 994
3) Tap Setup
4) Enter a 5 digit numbe from below
5) tap the button you want to send this signal. Can't be a device button.
