I'm new to this forum, so sorry if i have posted in the wrong area .I have an adcom 5.1 home theater system . This does not have a remote control. All its controls(Front, Rear, Bass, Center, 2.1 to 5.1 conversion and Master volume) are on the amplifier (knobs). So every time i have to go to the amplifier and adjust them(which is difficult while watching a movie :) ) . So i wanted to ask is there a way to make a remote control for it ?

You should consider some kind of remote/control system to automate your activities. When I say activities I am referring to Watching Cable, Watching a DVD, Lisening to Music, etc. What you decide on has a lot to do with your needs, your preferences, your budget, and personal situation.

crazyadmit,
Do you really mean that the Adcom is designed to not respond to a remote control? Are you sure? Tell us the model number, and we may be able to suggest a universal remote that control it.

I'm Sorry about the late reply but I'm still interested in getting a remote my home theater. I couldn't find a model no: but still managed to take some pictures which would bring lot of clarity for the users to suggest a remote. Here's the link: [Link: mediafire.com] . I've connected this home theater to my PC which has a 5.1 sound card so i can pretty much control the master volume but he the other controls(bas, front, rear) are out of my reach. So please give it a try anyone. Thank you. :)

The pictures show an amplifier which has no IR receiver for accepting IR signals. Also, the controls are implemented with ganged potentiometers.
My opinion is that there is no possibility of controlling this amplifier by a remote.
