I have a Sony STRDB925 Reciever and Speakers
the problem is while a source DVD is playing and I
increase or decrease the volume I get a crackle from the speakers. This does not happen all the time though. I've checked all cables etc.
Any Ideas and solutions???

Oliver, This is a common problem from what I've read in the newgroups, and here. If the receiver is covered by a warranty and the problem can be duplicated on demand, you might want to find a repair center you can take it to.

While shopping for my last system about 6 years ago I returned 4 recievers because of that problem. I ended up buying a Pioneer and never had that problem and it still works fine as my second system.
