Are there any recievers that will take a digital signal in (i.e. DVI/ HDMI) and switch it like a component/S/composite video input? The reason I ask is say I have a HD dvd player with a DVI out and a HD sat box with a DVI out, but only have one DVI in on my TV, but would like to use DVI on both of them. Will I be able to do that? Thanks for shedding any light on this subject for me!

That is a good link.... I am aware that Onkyo and some other brands have some High End Recievers that have interchangable cards but I haven't seen any for less that $3,000...

I have the same problem...Both DVD player and Cable Box have HDMI. My Plasma has 1 of each HDMI and DVI. I am going to have to do a DVI-HDMI cable to use both inputs as I can't afford one of those recievers right now.
