I am looking for an all in one remote control that can be used with TV (JVC); VCR (RCA); DVD (SONY); Receiver (SONY). I am also interested in controlling a yet to be purchased DVR with it. I purchased a 6-in 1 Radio Shack unit but was unable to get it to recognize the Sony STR DE-697 Receiver and certain functions of the DVD. It also will not control a DVR, I think.
I have been reading the reviews on the Sunwave SRC-3810 and the URC-100, 200 and 300, but am unable to determine if any of them will work for my needs. I am a new member to this Fourm and reading some of the postings, it is apparent there are many experts out there that might be willing to share knowledge as to what might work for me at a reasonable price, say $150. I would prefer a "touch screen" but it's not necessary.
Thank You in Advance.

Any of those remotes would work, or the older MX-500, although the URC-300 is $200. The URC-200 appears to be essentially a replacement for the MX-500. They will all handle your requirements one way or another. Either with codes or learning. You would probably find the URC remotes easier to use than the Sunwave, IMO.

If you're going to want to control the sony receiver via preset code, you first need to change the codeset the receiver responds to, see this thread.
