Does anyone know if these are made and where I can pick one up? I have been searching online all morning but no luck

I am using one HD cable box to display a picture in two different rooms. I have component cables to the TV in the living room and that is fine. I have an S-video wire to the bedroom and an IR relay to change the channel on the box.

This worked perfectly until today when I got my Time Warner HD cable box today. (Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000HD).
It turns out that this box will only use the S-video output in non HD tv mode. (I find this incredible by the way.)
So I am left with two outputs on the cable box I can use. One set of component outputs and one DVI output.
If there is such a thing as being able ot convert the signal I should be able to get away with this.

Help very much appreciated!!

Thanks,
-jg

Well I opted to split the coax wire and run this to my other TV.

I found out that Time warner has this DVI output off anyway...

For future reference, did you try Gefen products? Extendit?

Good luck.

Why not change the s-video to composite? I have the 8300 and it does output composite also. Haven't tried s-video but it should work.
