Hey! I need a universal remote. Here's my equipment: RCA 35" TV (older model) Panasonic XR50 A/V receiver APEX dvd/cd player Hughes DirecTV Tivo Receiver
nothing too fancy, but none of the remotes really do much other than their own thing.
We just got the DirecTV Tivo box and we love it. Which of the Sony or HTM models support the Tivo functions better? I think I like the idea of the hard buttons, but the LCD may be cool, I don't know.
Help!!!

Personally, I don't like those Sony screens since they are basically just buttons in LCD form. The MX-500 was pretty much designed around PVRs, an excellent choice.

well, I ended up going with a cheapie (the One-for-all 6131, only $12.95), just to start out at least. Here's the link: [Link: bluedo.com]

How does that work your receiver? Mine got lost (kids), but it worked perfectly for a TV, DTivo, VCR, DVDp. Never needed it for audio. Great remote for the price. My only problem was button size, but maybe my fingers are just too big.
