Via DVI I don't think there's much difference. I use ATI myself.

It all depends on what you want to do with it. Most modern cards have DVI outputs but not all will perform well in games. If you plan on playing and games with it either get one of the x800 ATI cards or 6800 Nvidia cards.

If you're also going for a *quiet* PC, I'd suggest one of the ATI cards combined with a Zalman ZM80D-HP replacement cooler.

well - here comes my 2 cents. if your only doing htpc, look at the 9600 not the pro - no noisy fan just a heat sink. the have dvi - check sapphires line at newegg.com
Diplomacy is the art of saying hire a pro without actually saying hire a pro

Just a follow up from My original post I decided on the ATI Radeon 9250 by powercolor cost around $60 this was needed because the pc we built was a real low profile micro case, Installed Windows 2005 Media center along with a creative labs external audio card with Optical output. All connected to a HK 330 and then to A fujitsu 42" Pasma. Controled by the MX-800. All I can say is not only does the tv look good but customer enjoys looking at the screen saver as much as the cable show truely awsome. Thanks for the input. They have now ordered the same setup for the master bedroom
