I am configuring a new media room around a Toshiba 52HMX94. I think I would like to connect the receiver with HDMI. But the Denon and Yamaha receivers I am looking at don't seem to have HDMI output. Am I missing something?

next years yahamas will have hdmi. they were waiting on final revisions of the format. I would, if I were you, look at a Key Digital Leeze or dvdo scaler for your video switching if your looking for a high end solution.

Or, run video direct to your set without going thru the receiver. Your TV should have sufficient inputs.

Thanks oex, I guess I am getting a little ahead of myself.

After posting, I did see that Panasonic has a cheap receiver (SA-XR70S for ~$355) with HDMI and lots of power. Anybody know anything about it?

You were on the right track with the Yamaha or Denon. You will probably not be happy with the Panasonic.
