Wondering which way to go IR and RF, I have 2.4 ghz telephone system in my home along with a wireless WAP for my computer network in case these things could cause some interference with the RF ? Any input along with model suggestion would be great.

There's many other considerations of RF frequencies looming around then just a phone or computer.

My rule of thumb is, if the other RF stuff works and "line of sight" is not an issue...go with the RF.
A fine is a tax for doing wrong. A tax is a fine for doing well.

hmmm so I am not sure I understand what u mean here. I plan on using these for just my big screen tv so as not to bother my kids while they are doing homework. I will sit in my chair about 10 feet away and do not really care about being able to walk around the whole house, in other words, they can work as line of sight and I am happy, so IR would work fine if the quality is decent. I hear RF can have hissing and what not if there computers, phones etc, around. Also, do I plug these headphones in the Line Out jacks of the TV or the Line Out ( Var Audio) jacks ?? THanks

I'd say that for 10', either will work well; either can be interfered with in the wrong environment.

Using the variable output allows for using the TV's volume control for, well, volume control.

The senheiser rf head phones are excellent and reasonable priced.

I have searched the internet everywhere for reviews of various wireless headphones and I cannnot seem to find much. I only need them to listen to tv sound not sound from my stereo, so looking for something inexpensive, can anyone turn me on to a particular brand and model ?? I was looking at the Sony MDR-IF240RK

For what it's worth, I'm currently using a set of Arkon SC-2600 IR headphones. Inexpensive, and reliable.

I've had them in use for a couple of years.

I've also used a couple of other "name" brands of RF headphones. The name brands didn't hold up near as well as the Arkon cheapies.
