Does anyone know what the bandwidth (frequency range) of the Elite remote control is? I have a Elite Pro-1009W 1997 model and I am trying to have my universal remote learn the codes but it will not work. I think the bandwidth for this remote is too high for my RC2000MkII.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It was my understanding that ~1997 Elite equipment used 1.4MHz, while the RC2000 will go up to 1.25MHz... and I thought this was answered in your post to the Remote Control forum.

Hi Steve;

I was able to program my RC2000MkII to control my 1997 PRO-99.

Turns out Pioneer uses 1.125MHz; the RC2000 can go up to around that.

I have an Elite Pro 118 60 RPTV, and the original Marantz 2000 would not accept the codes. however I bought the Mark II, and that did accept the codes. The TV model prior to that, I don't know the number, worked with the first Marantz and also controlled my Elite Pro 118.

It seems to be mostly 1997 models or thereabouts that include the "out of range" IR codes.

Good News, the 1009 has TWO IR eyes, one for the GUI higher freq system Pioneer had as well as the normal freq. range ir eye. The workaround is to get the remote from a pro100/200/700HD. The 1009 should accept all the codes from these units, including the auto/full/cinema/zoom adjustments needed for the 16:9 size. Good luck.
