Well, thanks to input from others here in this forum, I have now narrowed my choices down to the URC 300 or the MX 700 but still confused on which one is best. So far I like the looks of the 300 better and the touch LCD and of course its less straining on my check book. I guess the biggest decision between these two for me right now is the PC programming. I dont' know much about it so can anyone tell me the benefit of using the PC to program vice the learning function? and which is easier to program all the functions I need?
Thanks Dan

Where the PC is a huge benefit is programming macros. Its super easy to se tthem up, make adjustments and confirmthat you built them correctly because of the visual interface.
The MX learns the same as the URC-300, the database is just SOftware based instead of a chip inside the remote....
Unless your a complete computer illiterate (Which I doubt since your postig here) the 700 is a much better choice...
(Or if you need RF....... )

Thanks for all your input. The MX seems to have won the vote in both my threads so Looks like I will be throwing down on the MX 700.

MX-700. Hands down. Not only is it technologically superior, but you can run it WITHOUT looking at it for the main operation of the system. Its laid out so well that you can feel your way around it with minimal experience. Try that with a touch screen!
