Anyone know where I could get some crappy speakers from a couple guys out of a truck in a parking lot? I really like thinking I'm buying stolen merchandise only to get ripped off myself.

Hi, yeah I 'm new member in this club. I was stopped while driving. It is kind of my fault I was looking for speakers but not home speakers, car speakers. But the two men that had approached seemed like they were just trying to come up on a few bucks from a shipping mishap. Well yeah they came up on a few bucks. But it's alll good I guess. The price is what one would pay for a power sub and 5 speakers, so.... But yes the whole approach is making me feel like I have been had.. Oh well, you live and learn....

I just had the same exact story as all of you. I found your comments after purchasing the system and checking online to see how much they were worth. I was approached in colorado springs. Is what they're doing illegal and can they be prosecuted in any way?

I also got approached by two guys in a white van in the Pittsburgh, Pa area, selling theater logic surround sound systems. They were well trained showed me the magazine threw me the whole 9 yards. Stated these speakers are worth $ 2,200.00 we need $800.00, I told them I had $160.00 cash and if that bought me a system I’ll take it, if not good luck unloading them. They sold me the L6 system got it home, like everyone else felt like I really f-d up. I tried to hook it up to through my TV, it sounded like crap.
I figured I should go buy a receiver and try and run it through the receiver.
I went out and bought an Onkyo TX SR303 model with 5.1 output.

It sounds fantastic, better than my last Kenwood and my current Pioneer system. If you go and buy a decent receiver I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the quality. I would buy another one for $ 140.00 in a second. I feel I got a steal.

Similar thing happend to me, i work in a gymnasium and went out for a soda nd here comes this guy in an audio shirt and white van asking if i needed new home speakers. Being that I DO need home speakers and sence it was early morning and im not a morning person i didnt really think anything about it. I bought em, my co-worker was laughing at me. My speakers are the T2450 series and I got 2 pairs for 280. I thought they would be crap after reading these threads but i hooked mine to my comp and am rocking the crap out of the neighborhood. It was either a really good deal or these guys were newbies . Dunno, i have the other set hooked up to my tv, not as kick ass the the ones on the puter but good none the less. :D
