I am having a custom installation built for my toys.
I use an AV2100 to control my realm and the new install will place all components in a closed cabinet. I will have no problem running wires in the walls and am looking at a Niles solution to being able to access these components.
Any experience with Niles and this solution? Tips/warnings?
Advice?

Niles is fine, but I think Xantech is the leader in hardwired IR distribution. I've used both, and preferred Xantech. FYI, Xantech and Niles have slightly different wiring protocols, so sometimes they don't play nice together, so it's best not to mix them.

This kit will probably work [Link: xantech.com]
or this one [Link: xantech.com]

You can find good prices at homeautomation.net and worthdist.com

Definatly Xantech, although I've had great success with a company called Audioplex Technology. They have IR stuff that will work in DIRECT sunlight.
