Discreet code switching problem?

I've created a macro on my home page that turns my Philips TV on as well as my JVC SVHS HR4500. After pressing the Watch TV button, the screen jumps to another screen that has icons for local network TV. I added an icon called "Switch to Direct TV" which tells the RCA 5451 to turn on, and then the screen jumps to a page called Direct TV with icons for the channels. I've also added a button called "Net TV" which tells the Pronto to switch back to Network TV, change the Source (SVID) and then jump to the TV menu. Then jump back and forth if you want to. Note: I am using discreet codes for the JVC SVHS and the RCA 5451.

My Problem:

When I try to switch back & forth between network TV and Direct TV, it works great the 1st time. On the 2nd, time it doesn't change the TV source properly. The 3rd time it works fine, then the 4th time no good, 5th time OK , well you get the picture.

What am I doing wrong?

I just bought a home theater package with a new receiver and DVD player. I do not know how to connect all the remote controls together. Is this possible? I have a Fisher TV and a JVC receiver, JVC Dual Cassette player, JVC DVD and two VCR's, one Zenith and one Panasonic. Please help, all have remote's except the JVC Dual Cassette player. Hope you can guide me through this nightmare.

GRWERTH, Sounds like the scenario I faced trying to macro between local tv and directv. My local signals are received on antenna a input (coaxial) and my dbs signals on input 2 (RCA) So in the macro sequence to DBS I had to tell the remote first to change to channel 2, then channel down, to set it to "input". The reverse sequence, to local, I just told it to change to channel 4. BTW, the last command was programmed to allow channel surfing from the selected device. And, this is the set up for a One For All Cinema 6 remote control. I hope it helps you.
