Has anybody built a Pronto/Intellicontrol hybrid system using the sync capabilities found in the intellicontrol. Can Prontoedit be used as a stand alone PC appliction to control IR equipment (when using emulator mode) if so what is needed.

Sorry, the Pronto Emulator doesn't generate IR.

Actually, My pronto if hooked up to the serial cable when Prontedit is running does send the IR signal out (most of the time) when a button is pressed on the emulator. This is fine for testing whether a code was learned properly.

I don't really see the point in using it set up this way when you could upload the CCF to the pronto and use IT as your IR controller.

in response to joe matthews question regarding using the pronto in conjunction w the niles intellicontrol. although the intellicontrol uses r.f. to communicate with the msu, the first generation programmers had a way to convert the rf codes to i.r. although i have never tried to convert the codes, theoretically, you should be able to control an intellicontrol system with the pronto or any learning remote and a simple niles ms-2 sensor hooked up directly to the i.c's theatre sensor input. anyone interested in more info on the intellicontrol, please dont hesitate to send me an e-mail.The intellicontrol is my specialty!

I use the CPUXA and a SECU16 from Applied Digital (www.appdig.com) for power sync and most of my macros and lighting control. The Pronto pared with the CPUXA gives me all the power of a Creston or Phast System without the cost.
